Frustrating GP experience: long wait, no help

I attempted to reach out to my local medical practice, but the experience left me utterly frustrated. Despite being the first in line, I endured an excruciating wait of over an hour just to have someone answer the phone. When they finally did, their response was disappointingly unhelpful. They simply advised me to call back between 8 and 9 in the morning to schedule an appointment. However, my subsequent attempts to get through were futile. I find myself at a complete loss, caught in a maddening loop. The hospital insists that I must go through my GP, yet the GP seems incapable of assisting me. This situation is absurd and leaves me wondering how anyone is supposed to receive proper medical care in this system.
