Frustrating gp practice with impossible appointment system

I have (mercifully) just transferred to a different GP practice outside London. In just one week, I've received more attentive care than during an entire year at my previous surgery. I want to be clear that I'm not targeting specific staff. Dr Lefeuvre is genuinely caring and well-intentioned, yet seemingly overwhelmed. Seeing other doctors has been nearly impossible due to appointment scarcity. This is fundamentally the practice's core issue. Their appointment and online administrative systems are bewilderingly complex, constantly shifting, and completely unreliable. Essentially impenetrable. Even if you somehow secure an appointment or referral, there's zero follow-up care. The entire experience is disorganized, perplexing, and emotionally draining - especially when managing health challenges. While understanding NHS pressures, I had resigned myself to accepting substandard service as the new normal. However, my recent experience has been revelatory. I've now encountered the level of patient care that was once standard across GP practices. Quality healthcare clearly still exists. Regrettably, it's absent from this particular surgery. I cannot confidently speak about other local practices. My strongest recommendation is to avoid joining this practice - unless you're young, healthy, without dependents, and possess limitless patience and energy. In which case, you'd hardly require medical attention anyway.
