Frustrating healthcare communication and endless delays

Communication is strictly limited to text or written correspondence from the state: following a recent test, a reappointment for retesting is requested. Attempting to schedule this follow-up becomes an ordeal in itself. The process is incredibly frustrating, dragging on endlessly, ultimately resulting in patients being forced to seek emergency care at A&E while desperately trying to obtain assistance from their GP. When inquiring about the reason for the retest, patients are simply told they must consult a doctor, with the possibility of a physician calling back in 13 days - an unacceptably long and inefficient waiting period!
