Frustrating healthcare experience with unhelpful reception

I consulted with the front desk staff who suggested contacting the general practice clinic precisely at 8:10 AM. This was concerning my child, who is currently experiencing an ear infection and requires an urgent ENT specialist referral, especially given his recent tonsil surgery a short while ago. As an NHS physician myself, I anticipated receiving at least a telephone consultation at the earliest possible opportunity. However, their appointment scheduling process is excessively complicated and inefficient. They urgently need to reconsider and revamp their approach. At our previous medical practice, booking appointments online or via telephone was straightforward and convenient. Given the current system's limitations, I can only award a single star for their appointment management policy.
