Frustrating healthcare experience with unhelpful receptionists

I attempted to schedule an appointment for today or tomorrow, but was informed I must call back tomorrow morning to book. Why should a patient have to make multiple calls just to secure a medical consultation? This was a critical health matter requiring potential antibiotic treatment, and they redirected me to call 111. What happened to their medical ethics and commitment to patient care? This is an absurd excuse for a healthcare service, particularly the front desk staff. The practice feels more like a disinterested hotel lobby than a professional medical facility. I'm baffled how they receive funding from the NHS for such substandard patient treatment.
