Frustrating healthcare scheduling that wastes your time

The scheduling system for phone consultations is absurdly impractical. You're given a massive 3-hour timeframe where they might ring at any moment. I momentarily missed their call while in a meeting, literally just seconds too late. When I attempted to reconnect, I was stuck in their phone queue for 20 exhausting minutes, only to be informed my appointment was canceled and I'd need to reschedule for the following week. The front desk staff showed zero flexibility or understanding. It's completely unreasonable to demand patients remain completely available during such a lengthy window, with such harsh consequences for not answering immediately.
