Frustrating healthcare system fails patients miserably

I simply wanted to schedule a consultation with my primary care physician to renew my prescription... After repeatedly attempting to reach someone by phone and being trapped in an endless queue, I visited the local medical facility. Upon arrival, I discovered (through the secured glass entrance of the appointment area) that the reception was completely vacant, with no staff available to answer calls. Utterly unacceptable, it's shameful particularly during these challenging covid times when telephone communication through reception is the sole method for securing a doctor's appointment... Especially considering the NHS App for booking GP consultations remains completely non-functional.
