Frustrating healthcare system fails patients miserably

Scheduling a medical consultation has become incredibly challenging. I called today seeking a consultation about my hormone replacement therapy, only to be informed they exclusively book phone appointments just 4 days ahead. To secure a slot, I must ring daily, yet the earliest doctor's availability is 4 weeks away - which is completely unacceptable. Prior to the pandemic, I never encountered such difficulties. Why are medical practices the only services still operating with such restrictive and frustrating systems? My frustration and distress go far beyond mere annoyance.
