Frustrating healthcare system fails young patient

Their new system is causing complete chaos. I was attempting to schedule a medical consultation for my sick 7-year-old, who I suspect is experiencing an IBS flare-up, only to be shockingly informed they won't see him because we're registered with different medical practices - something that has never been an issue before. Now I'm forced to transfer his records to my own practice, who immediately confirm this restriction is total nonsense, as patient location shouldn't matter. As a result, my child must now endure a 48-hour waiting period for his medical records to be transferred before he can receive any treatment. It's absolutely appalling that they would refuse to treat a chronically ill child who has been their patient for years, all because of this ridiculous new administrative system.
