Frustrating healthcare with missed communication steps

The medical professionals appear competent, but their referral process is frustratingly inefficient. After my appointment, I followed up with the reception desk two weeks later to confirm my ECG referral status. They assured me it was processed, but when I contacted Heartlands directly, no referral had actually been submitted. Upon confronting my doctors about this discrepancy, they claimed the referral needed to go through their secretary first and was only just sent through yesterday - a dubious explanation that raises serious concerns about their administrative communication.
