Frustrating journey to change primary care practice

It's been three weeks since I initially reached out to this medical practice about transferring my care. My current GP is absolutely dreadful (check their reviews and you'll understand), and I thought switching practices would be straightforward. I completed the NHS website registration form, only to be told they couldn't accept me because I'm already registered elsewhere. I detailed my circumstances and was directed to contact NHS. I followed their guidance, then engaged with the health board responsible for approving such transfers, which ultimately granted permission. Upon calling the practice, I was instructed to provide written confirmation. I obtained an email that I couldn't forward because—incredibly—they lack a patient communication email address. I printed the letter, hand-delivered it to the practice, and waited several additional days. Their response? A flat denial, claiming all previous instructions were incorrect and I cannot transfer. Three weeks wasted, involving the practice manager, three NHS phone representatives, and at least five reception calls. I remain unable to consult a doctor about my health concerns. Ultimately, I'm left feeling frustrated and disappointed—accessing basic healthcare shouldn't be this complicated. It's unfortunate, as I've heard positive things about this practice.
