Frustrating medical practice with inconsistent appointment booking

I've been attempting to secure a medical consultation via phone twice daily for three consecutive days. On 28/02/22, I followed my usual routine: calling in the morning with no available appointments, then ringing back at noon as per their recorded message. After finally getting through at 12:45 PM, I was informed no appointments remained for the day. Frustrated, I visited the surgery during a shift change and inquired about booking a doctor's appointment. Surprisingly, a receptionist offered me a telephone consultation that very afternoon—despite another staff member claiming just 10 minutes earlier that no slots were available. This inconsistency is deeply troubling. How can two receptionists provide such contradictory information? Are they intentionally misleading patients? We had hoped the merger between church street and prospect practices would enhance service quality, but our expectations have been completely shattered. The lack of transparency and communication is unacceptable.
