Frustrating medical referral nightmare with no resolution

I initially visited a medical appointment regarding a lump under my arm approximately a year ago and was directed to the breast clinic. During that consultation, the professional stated it wasn't breast-related. Initially, the lump didn't worry me as it remained unchanged and painless. Recently, however, it has increased in size and begun to cause me significant concern. On 13/06/2023, I attended an appointment where I was told I would be referred for an ultrasound. After hearing nothing, I emailed requesting an update and was advised to contact Yorkshire Health Solutions. Upon calling them an hour later, they had no record of me and claimed they would reject the referral as my specific issue was outside their scope, suggesting I should be referred to the hospital. I then contacted my surgery, explaining they had provided incorrect referral information - a situation I found absolutely unacceptable and poorly documented. After hearing Yorkshire Health Solutions wouldn't handle my case, they instructed me to contact the hospital. The hospital's radiology clinic explained they received my referral on 20/06/2023 but bounced it back to the surgery, stating I needed a breast clinic consultation first. When I mentioned I'd already attended the breast clinic, they claimed my GP hadn't included this information and a new referral would be necessary. I called the surgery again and explained everything to the receptionist, who promised to urgently contact my GP for a comprehensive referral. Today, 12/07/2023, upon emailing for an update, I was again told to contact Yorkshire Health Solutions - a suggestion I find absolutely ludicrous, having already explained they cannot manage my case. Not only have I previously mentioned my father's lymphoma cancer death, but I've now been shuttled between departments for a month with zero progress. It shouldn't be my responsibility to continuously track my medical treatment while managing my professional life. Fortunately, I checked for updates last week; otherwise, I'd be completely unaware my referral was rejected on 20/06/2023. I feel entirely neglected. Already managing mental health treatment, I cannot tolerate such incompetent medical management. Previous experiences with inconsistent prescriptions and cancelled appointments were frustrating, but this situation is completely unacceptable. I've completely lost confidence in this practice. While awaiting a call from the surgery manager - which I doubt will actually occur - I am absolutely committed to changing GP practices immediately. I feel entirely invisible as a patient, having seen a different physician during each interaction.
