Frustrating medical service with unhelpful reception staff

I'm reluctant to post negative feedback, but I feel compelled to share my experience. Seeking a doctor's appointment after a long hiatus, I was utterly dismayed by the service and bureaucratic process. When I phoned reception at 8:30am, the receptionist's demeanor was, candidly, dismissive and condescending, simply instructing me to use an app. I have no desire to navigate an app, and I questioned the receptionist's purpose if not to provide actual assistance. Having worked continuously since age 16 and contributed national insurance, I expect a straightforward, respectful process for booking a GP appointment. After enduring a seemingly pointless interrogation of questions, I was told someone would call back—which never happened. Instead, I received a link displaying my previous responses and an invitation to book a time slot. This unnecessary bureaucratic maze for what should be a simple task is infuriating. The MyGP app is equally frustrating; attempting to book an appointment only offers an option to call the surgery directly. As a result, I am actively seeking a new medical practice. Southmead's service is disappointingly subpar.
