Frustrating phone service leaves patient hanging

I initiated contact to schedule a medical consultation early in the morning. The automated system indicated I was eighth in line and suggested pressing a key for a callback when my turn arrived. Despite waiting until mid-afternoon, no return call materialized. Upon re-attempting communication, I was assured a physician would reach out to arrange an appointment. Now, approaching evening, I remain without any contact from the practice. It appears my only recourse will be to physically visit the surgery, as their telephone communication is evidently unreliable and ineffective.
