Frustrating phone system leads to app-based healthcare

The phone queue to schedule a consultation has become so unbearable that I've resorted to using the NHS app for health consultations and booking requests. Ironically, the surgery then sends me a text message instructing me to call them directly to arrange an appointment! It's a completely absurd and circular situation that defies logic.
