Frustrating phone system makes booking appointments difficult

I appreciate this medical practice and have been a patient for several years, with no issues regarding the actual consultations and physicians. I understand the pandemic has complicated appointment scheduling, but since March, they've eliminated their 'virtual queues' when calling at 8 am. You must call precisely at 8 to book a same-day appointment, and when you do, you're met with a perpetual 'user busy' signal for 20-30 frustrating minutes. I suspect this is a deliberate strategy to discourage patients from seeking medical care (which is deeply troubling, as healthcare should be accessible to all). I'm concerned this approach is particularly unfair to elderly individuals or those less comfortable navigating phone systems. The thought of a vulnerable person being unable to secure a medical appointment is truly distressing. Get it together, manor!
