Frustrating registration at st leonard's surgery

Relocated to Exeter just before lockdown began. Understandably, St Leonard's initially stated they weren't accepting new registrations. We patiently waited. However, now that we've progressed to stage 3 of Covid-19 recovery, they remain unresponsive to my registration requests. Multiple phone attempts have been futile, with no one answering. The pharmacy staff are equally uninformed about the medical practice, and patients cannot enter without a pre-booked appointment. My partner urgently needs a check-up for her repeat prescription, which is nearly exhausted. Their response? They've suggested we return to our previous surgery. So we should just drive back to London, is that right? I recognize the healthcare system is under immense strain, but the receptionist appears completely disconnected and apathetic. Someone who actually demonstrates compassion should be handling this role.
