Frustrating service with occasional helpful moments

I attempted to contact the surgery eight times today, and each call was abruptly terminated. With a 10-week-old infant at home and concerns about a circulating virus, I found their communication extremely frustrating. Their inaccessibility raises serious questions about the practice's professionalism. Ultimately, I resorted to health care assistance for support. During my sole consultation with a doctor, she surprisingly suggested deferring to health care assistance's advice over her own regarding infant and breastfeeding matters. I've been visiting this surgery multiple times, and it seems nurses predominantly handle patient interactions. Fortunately, the nursing staff remains cordial and approachable. Despite being a patient for nearly five years, I believe significant improvements are necessary. Every email I send requires persistent follow-up for a response. Particularly concerning were two prescription requests where, despite informing them of chemist submission, they failed to provide a simple acknowledgment. Regarding my request for a medical travel note, I was essentially dismissed due to my pregnancy, with the surgery demonstrating minimal effort towards pregnant patients. The only scenario where I'd describe their service as satisfactory is when I need a vaccination.
