Frustrating wait for basic medical support and care

I've been waiting three weeks just to secure a phone consultation through their online booking system. I attempted to contact the medical practice directly since my health concern is pressing, though not critically urgent. A walk-in clinic provided some temporary relief for my symptoms but emphasized I need a GP's referral to a specialist. When I try calling their switchboard in the morning and select the appointments option, I'm immediately greeted by a message stating the lines are entirely overwhelmed. Attempting to reach general enquiries leaves me supposedly second in the queue for around eight minutes before the call abruptly disconnects. Absolutely disappointing service.
