Gp frustrations: Inefficiency and dishonesty

The chronic understaffing at general practices is often cited as the root cause of inefficiencies, but my experience suggests a deeper issue. I've found myself in a frustrating cycle of making multiple calls just to address a single concern, effectively monopolizing resources that could serve several other patients. It's difficult to discern whether the doctors are genuinely struggling with basic administrative tasks or if there's a more concerning lack of accountability at play. After numerous similar incidents, I'm inclined to suspect the latter. On a positive note, the front desk staff have consistently been helpful and professional. It's the physicians themselves who have repeatedly fallen short of expectations. I implore the practice to prioritize transparency and efficiency. While I'm willing to follow up on matters, it's disheartening to be falsely assured that issues are resolved, only to discover problems later on my own. This pattern of misinformation and inadequate follow-through is not only frustrating but potentially detrimental to patient care.
