Great doctors but terrible phone support

The medical professionals at this surgery are exceptional, demonstrating top-notch expertise, attentiveness, and overall excellence that I cannot commend enough. However, the reception staff who manage phone communications are a complete disappointment. Their primary objective seems to be dismissing patients as quickly as possible, showing minimal concern about actually resolving patient issues or providing meaningful guidance. Every interaction with their phone staff is profoundly frustrating, as they consistently provide vague, unhelpful responses. Recently, when I called about a prescription issue due to manufacturing problems, I received a dismissive "I'll message someone, OK?", and was forced to persistently ask follow-up questions just to understand what was happening. Their communication is so poor that I was left completely uncertain about the resolution or next steps. They appear utterly indifferent to patient concerns, prioritizing getting off the phone over providing genuine assistance. In another instance, when inquiring about holiday vaccines, the receptionist cut me off mid-sentence with "we don't do that here, OK?", and was about to hang up before I urgently requested more information about where I could obtain these vaccines. Their staff either lack proper training to handle patient queries or simply demonstrate a profound lack of empathy - most likely a combination of both deficiencies.
