Hard to get past the online form barrier

It appears that accessing a general practitioner at this practice has become increasingly difficult. The reliance on digital submission forms and telephone consultations means that face-to-face appointments are rarely offered. The practice seems to prioritise efficiency over accessibility, requiring patients to navigate multiple barriers before securing an appointment, and even then, in-person visits are uncommon. The reception process raises concerns about patient privacy, as sensitive health information is requested in open areas where conversations can be overheard by other patients waiting in the practice. This has reportedly caused distress to some individuals. While the reception team appear conscientious and are clearly doing their best under challenging circumstances, they are being asked to perform clinical assessment duties without appropriate training. When consultations with a clinician do occur, the experience can feel dismissive and lacking in empathy. Overall, the practice environment and approach to patient care have become disappointing, and those seeking a more traditional, accessible healthcare experience may wish to consider alternatives.
