Heartless reception team fails pregnant patient

Two years on, and I'm still appalled by the shockingly callous attitude of the reception staff at this medical practice. At 35, nearly 36 weeks pregnant and having just relocated for my partner's work, I visited this surgery, conveniently located near my home. While I appreciate they might be busy, the reception area was empty, and the receptionist's demeanor was dismissive and cold. When I explained my situation, needing to register quickly to access midwife services, instead of offering guidance, she curtly stated they were busy and simply handed me a registration form. Upon returning the completed form, they refused to register me because my ID didn't match my new address, despite me presenting a utility bill. After wasting nearly a week attempting to obtain updated identification, I turned to Rosewood Medical Centre, who immediately connected me with a midwife, registered me effortlessly (accepting my utility bill without ID drama), and secured an appointment within a week - by which point I was 37 weeks pregnant. Woodlane Medical Centre unnecessarily added stress during my pregnancy's final weeks, seemingly motivated by pure indifference. Their approach was not just unhelpful, but potentially dangerous - if they couldn't register me, they should have been transparent about capacity or at least directed me to alternative midwife services, which they apparently knew nothing about (a concerning revelation in itself).
