Heartless receptionist crushed my hopes and dignity

What's going on with the reception staff? Let me explain my experience where I tried to communicate about my neck issue, but the receptionist cut me off mid-sentence and repeatedly insisted I shouldn't be there and needed to call instead. She kept emphasizing something was posted outside (ironically, while not wearing a mask herself despite signage). I was immediately overwhelmed and started crying, and no staff member intervened or showed any compassion. Furthermore, she abruptly declared there was no availability today and dismissed me without even asking if I had an appointment, speaking in an extremely harsh manner. While I understand the protocol of calling ahead, the complete lack of empathy is absolutely unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting. She made no attempt to understand my situation or potential distress. If someone were struggling with mental health challenges, this interaction could have triggered severe anxiety, compounding the physical discomfort they were already experiencing. The total absence of human understanding was deeply troubling.
