Horrific medical care that endangers patient lives

If I could give this surgery minus stars I would. After consulting legal counsel, I am now more acutely aware of the grave nature of this situation and how this practice has fundamentally breached their professional responsibility. The substandard care I've received from Parkview has completely disrupted my life, causing significant emotional and physical damage, financial hardship, and has further complicated my existing medical conditions (complex PTSD, bipolar type 2, ADHD, and complex partial epilepsy). Despite consistently communicating my deteriorating health, I have been met with total indifference. For over two years, despite my persistent, well-documented attempts to obtain the necessary support I am legally entitled to, I have been systematically ignored, belittled, and deceived by both doctors and management. Given the nature of my illnesses and accompanying medication, I require close monitoring by a consultant psychiatrist. Having lived with these conditions for most of my life, I am exceptionally skilled at recognizing potential relapses. I repeatedly expressed my need for specialized care, and as anticipated, I have indeed relapsed - forcing me to abandon an £11,000 Masters degree, lose employment, and return to my family home for support. I was repeatedly told that Parkview had referred me to psychiatry, but the waiting list was extremely long. Shockingly, I recently discovered they have been communicating with an entirely different department (where I am on the ADHD and autism services waiting list) and have not contacted psychiatric services at all, as originally requested. My Mother recently spoke with the practice manager, explaining that my continued lack of being heard was exacerbating my symptoms and creating unnecessary psychological strain. The failure to refer me to the correct department epitomizes their complete disregard for my medical needs. Furthermore, as per standard protocol, my medical records should have been electronically transferred within 1-3 days of registration. This did not occur. When I noticed this during a depression appointment in 2022, I requested they follow up with my previous GP or through the appropriate channel (PCSE). They did not. To this day, they remain incomplete. The treatment I have experienced is absolutely unacceptable and something I would never wish upon anyone. Both PTSD and bipolar disorder 2 significantly elevate suicide risks, particularly for patients lacking medical support. Nearly half of all bipolar patients will attempt suicide during their lifetime. While I am fortunate to have a robust support network, I shudder to imagine how Parkview's approach might impact someone more vulnerable. This account merely scratches the surface. I implore you: do not register with this GP - especially if you struggle with mental health, as you will be denied the compassionate care you fundamentally deserve. Amy Rose
