Hung Up on After 40 Minutes of Waiting

Absolutely dreadful customer service where they simply disconnected my call after leaving me waiting. I underwent emergency surgery three weeks ago but cannot secure a doctor's appointment. My blood pressure medication has expired, yet the reception remains unresponsive to my repeated attempts to schedule a consultation. My surgical wound hasn't been examined by a GP who should have received hospital documentation for follow-up. The entire surgical experience has been completely useless and not worth pursuing. The underlying issue is that GPs now receive government funding directly, allowing them to allocate resources as they see fit. What happened to "payment by results" principles? I've spent a total of 40 minutes across two separate phone calls attempting to book an appointment. Each time, after prolonged waiting, the receptionist abruptly terminates the call. I initiated my first call at 8:20, and they demonstrate zero professional courtesy in addressing patient needs. Once again, I've been cut off after being placed on hold for an additional 20 minutes, with no receptionist available. The surgery claims to operate from 8am to 7pm - but who exactly are they serving? Seemingly, they're more focused on justifying their funding and maintaining administrative comfort rather than delivering actual patient care. THESE SO-CALLED "SPECIAL MEASURES" ARE CLEARLY INEFFECTIVE AND COMPLETELY POINTLESS
