Ignored uti led to hospital nightmare

A while back, I was a patient at this medical practice. Scheduling an appointment was always a challenging ordeal, strictly adhering to their prescribed calling method. When I finally reached the reception, they dismissed my UTI symptoms (which included blood) as non-urgent and instructed me to call again later. My attempts to secure a GP consultation were consistently unsuccessful. Eventually, I developed a kidney infection and was hospitalized. I persisted in trying to get medical attention whenever my condition allowed. The situation escalated until I was so critically ill that an ambulance was required to transport me to the hospital, and I was losing consciousness. I believe my experience represents yet another instance of how women's health concerns are frequently overlooked and minimized, simply because certain symptoms are considered typical for women.
