Impossible to get through on the phone

I'm considering switching to a different practice. It's extremely difficult to get through and book appointments. When you do manage to secure one, you're often told there's nothing available and asked to call back the next day, which feels repetitive. When I've raised concerns about my children's health, I've been directed to purchase over-the-counter products rather than being offered prescriptions, despite children being eligible for free prescriptions. I've previously received medication that didn't seem appropriate from a practitioner and had to push quite hard to get the antibiotics I felt my young son needed. I have doubts about the clinical decision-making at the practice. My daughter had an eye infection and was repeatedly advised to buy over-the-counter allergy sprays, but once I persisted and obtained the treatment I believed was necessary, her condition resolved quickly.
