Impossible to get through on the phone

I found the appointment booking process to be quite frustrating. The requirement to phone in order to schedule a visit is impractical, as getting through by telephone proves extremely difficult. This has resulted in my prescriptions being limited to a shorter duration rather than the longer period I previously received. I feel this approach is counterproductive, as it creates additional administrative burden rather than reducing it. I would appreciate it if appointments could be arranged directly without needing to make repeated phone calls myself, as I believe this would be a more efficient solution for everyone involved.
