Impossible to Schedule a Routine Appointment

The framework implemented by the doctors at this surgery is unworkable for normal working families. In the framework where the doctor is only available 2 days or so per week, implementing a system where Dysart doctors and office manager place a series of hurdles to navigate is deeply frustrating. The onus is on the patient to understand (a) that there is a booking window (sometimes 2 weeks sometimes 4 weeks) when the doctor will 'consider' accepting a booking (b) that despite a doctor working on a certain day, there is NO WAY of getting an appointment within an 8 week window on that day - even when the doctor has asked the patient to come and see them again in 6 weeks (c) the patient can't know when the new booking window opens. That appears to be ''secret'. (d) so it's appointment roulette, if you ring for an appointment, you have to wait for the "booking window" to be valid. A surgery that appears to have no empathy, no consideration and little phone manner. The attitude of the phone operative was clear. Take an option you don't want or you can't come. Simple as that. The person I care for has been at this surgery for a number of years and is frightened to change their doctor. I would move, but they won't, hence the complaint to get this issue considered. For context I go to another surgery in the Bromley area and this IS NOT normal treatment. There is a specific set of controls implemented at Dysart to ensure the patient has to work around what they need, rather than support and be of service to the patient. IF YOU HAVE ANY CHOICE TO REGISTER LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE .... DO SO. The nice surgery does not compensate for the lack of empathy at this location.
