Incompetent clinic fails patient with poor referral service

I've been attempting to secure a referral to a breast clinic for more than a month, and they've directed me to an incorrect facility. They've consistently delayed resolving this issue, causing me to miss potential appointment opportunities. Apparently, a single individual is responsible for handling referral problems, and she's currently on vacation. How can an entire clinic rely on just one person for such critical tasks? Their response is completely unacceptable, and the staff demonstrate a total lack of compassion. I'm seriously contemplating switching to a different general practitioner.
