Incomprehensibly inefficient, ineffective and outdated I have yet to experience medical care from Cumberland House Surgery's GP. However, the surgery seems more fortified than the Pentagon, making entry challenging. Since registering in April 2021, none of my inquiries have been addressed smoothly or responded to appropriately. Emails have remained unanswered for months. They arbitrarily cancelled my pre-booked COVID-19 vaccine appointment, claiming indefinite unavailability. Numerous exhaustingly long phone calls and significant stress were required to ultimately secure an appointment, despite numerous time slots being clearly available in the booking system. Having previously accessed test results and health records via my GP's app since 2011 - regardless of test origin - I now find myself unable to do so with Cumberland House Surgery. Despite submitting an online access form four months ago, I've received no response. Staff responsiveness varies dramatically depending on who answers the phone. One staff member might request you visit to complete a form, while another will deny such a form's existence, showing no consideration for patients' time and effort. When instructed to visit for form completion, I experienced a dehumanizing interaction. Someone partially opened the door, handed me a form, and immediately shut it. In cold, windy, rainy conditions, I was denied entry. Upon returning the form, I was rushed and prevented from asking questions, with staff seemingly eager to terminate interaction. Their practices demonstrate a profound lack of patient care. In this digital age, repeatedly summoning patients to complete physical forms is unacceptably inefficient and impersonal. The surgery appears more focused on protecting themselves from external contact than providing compassionate healthcare, essentially barricading themselves against patient interaction. Ultimately, being a Cumberland House Surgery patient has been a frustrating, burdensome experience. I've felt neither supported nor genuinely cared for by their staff.
