Insensitive doctor dismisses young patient's real concerns

I've encountered multiple unsatisfactory interactions at this practice, with only a few doctors being genuinely compassionate. During today's appointment, I was subjected to intrusive questioning about my personal medical journey. When I mentioned ongoing diagnostics for fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, the healthcare professional dismissively claimed I was too young for such conditions, suggesting it was merely stress-related and not a significant issue. Completely disregarding the purpose of my visit for heartburn and acid reflux, she repeatedly veered into unnecessary commentary about my health. She criticized my use of crutches, insisting they would exacerbate my pain, despite my understanding that they're currently my only mobility option until I receive a custom wheelchair. Normal hospital wheelchairs cause me substantial discomfort. Her persistent attempts to invalidate my experiences were deeply offensive. She repeatedly suggested that I couldn't possibly be disabled at my age and that any potential conditions would only result in minor, insignificant symptoms. Her approach felt patronizing and dismissive of my lived experience. I left the appointment feeling profoundly uncomfortable and disheartened that even healthcare professionals can be so reluctant to acknowledge patients' genuine medical challenges. Update: Upon reviewing the NHS app referral, I discovered she was subtly implying I was fabricating my disabilities because I wasn't using crutches during a September consultation - which makes sense, as I didn't obtain my crutches until October. She even mentioned another doctor sharing similar doubts, suggesting unprofessional discussions about patient confidentiality. I will be formally reporting this inappropriate behavior and pursuing further action, as questioning a patient's disability is completely unacceptable.
