Long phone queues made getting help difficult

I have attempted to secure an urgent appointment on consecutive days and experienced significant delays in reaching someone at the practice. On both occasions, I spent over an hour waiting on the telephone before my call was answered, only to be advised to ring back the following morning at 8am. I had been calling from early in the morning on each day in an attempt to get through promptly.
