Long phone queues made urgent care difficult

I attempted to contact the practice for several hours without success. When I finally reached someone, I was informed that no appointments were available until the following week. Given the urgency of my situation, I was advised to call back at 9am the next morning. However, I was unable to get through again after trying for half an hour. The staff member indicated that the practice had not been particularly busy, yet all appointments had apparently been allocated. I was offered an appointment for the following Wednesday, and given the urgent nature of my concern, I was directed to contact the out-of-hours service instead. I found this experience to be quite frustrating.
