Long wait and zero help

Spent 2 hours waiting on hold only to be redirected to 111. Be warned that you'll likely waste at least an hour attempting to schedule an appointment. My daughter suffered from a urinary tract infection and couldn't secure a same-day consultation, being instructed to contact 111. Upon calling 111, we were advised to contact the surgery with a referral, which she did. She was promised a telephone consultation with a doctor. Predictably, no call was ever made or returned. When we physically visited on Monday, an older receptionist dramatically rolled her eyes and claimed no record existed of my daughter's previous call, stating no appointment would be available for over a week. I emphasized her urgent medical condition, to which she dismissively suggested going to A&E. Consider this a warning if you're contemplating registering with this practice. It's unquestionably not the finest medical surgery, so thoroughly research your options beforehand. The receptionist I encountered was spectacularly unhelpful - rude, unsympathetic, and her body language spoke volumes. Ultimately, we were forced to obtain medication from Asda Pharmacy at double the cost of an NHS prescription, simply because they failed to provide the basic service we financially support through our taxes.
