Long wait despite evening appointment booking

Extremely disappointing experience overall. I contacted 111 requesting an advance on documentation for illness and a sick note. I was informed that a GP would call me back within six hours. When they did call, they were insistent that I attend the centre in person. I explained that I was unwell and concerned about being able to manage a lengthy wait before being seen. Despite my concerns, they persisted and arranged an appointment for 6:20pm. It is now 8pm and I remain waiting. Being unwell, this situation is not providing the support I need. I feel my concerns have not been taken seriously.
