Long wait with no updates from reception staff

I have been waiting for 45 minutes at this point. I arrived for my appointment on time and checked with reception after half an hour to confirm that I would still be seen, as my wait was extending. I was informed that I had been added as an additional patient and that the clinician may have become occupied with other matters. I felt uncertain about whether to stay or leave. The receptionist has since stepped away for an extended period, leaving no one available to provide assistance. I recognise that general practice faces considerable challenges, but this experience felt particularly disappointing.
