Long waits for appointments at this busy practice

It's a large practice that operates with considerable patient volume and multiple clinicians. I find it difficult to rate it highly given that I've attended other practices and encountered numerous frustrations during my time here. Appointments classified as non-urgent can involve waiting approximately a month, though I've sometimes felt the urgency level assigned didn't match my actual needs. I had an experience with an in-house pharmacist that I found unsatisfactory. Following a formal complaint about the service, my subsequent visits have shown some improvement. I suspect difficulties stem from the practice managing a substantial patient load, combined with broader NHS constraints. The administrative processes could be more streamlined, as routine matters seem to take considerably longer than necessary. It's possible these are initial operational challenges or perhaps I've simply had less fortunate experiences, as I'm aware others have spoken positively about the practice. My sense is that the less frequently one needs to access the service, the fewer complications arise. The clinical staff appear competent, though I've found it necessary to be proactive in ensuring my concerns and perspectives receive proper consideration. This assertiveness seems increasingly important in healthcare settings nowadays. The online messaging system offers a practical communication method and replies typically arrive promptly, though I find the restriction to surgery hours only somewhat limiting. I remain hopeful that my overall experience may develop positively over time, which could lead to a more favourable assessment in future.
