Long waits for emergency appointments at this practice

When I first needed an appointment last year after registering, I requested an urgent slot but had to wait approximately two weeks. My previous practice would offer same-day appointments or contact patients about available cancellations. I found the clinical staff at this practice to be dismissive and unprofessional. The team appears to lack empathy and understanding, and I questioned whether they chose this profession out of genuine care or simply for financial reasons. During my most recent visit, I was not seen by a doctor in person. Instead, a staff member provided a diagnosis over the phone without conducting an examination or asking thorough medical questions. When asked about a particular medication, I explained I had experienced problems with it previously, yet it was prescribed to me regardless. This has since caused additional health concerns and distress. I am considering changing practices. Moving to this area and having to switch to this larger medical centre has been disappointing, as my former, smaller practice was managed far more effectively with consistently courteous, approachable and professional staff throughout.
