I have been receiving care at Essex Lodge for more than two decades and can confidently say the quality of service has been outstanding. Whenever I complete an online form (via text link), a doctor consistently calls me back within 48 hours. Throughout my experiences, I have always felt genuinely heard and supported. I notice some negative reviews and find them curious. It seems these individuals might not fully comprehend a GP's role. Doctors aren't miracle workers who can instantly resolve every medical issue; sometimes diagnosing a condition requires methodical investigation and elimination of potential causes. Waiting times at the surgery are a natural part of healthcare. Perhaps the patient ahead of me needed more comprehensive attention, preventing a rushed consultation. This approach prioritizes thorough patient care over strict appointment scheduling - something that could happen to anyone. Many people unreasonably expect immediate GP access for non-urgent matters, and then become frustrated when they don't receive the precise diagnosis or explanation they desire. Some even escalate matters by seeking hospital second opinions, potentially straining NHS resources. There's a reason medical professionals undergo extensive training for over five years - they genuinely care about patient wellbeing.
