Medication Mix-ups at Driffield Medical Centre

After relocating to the Driffield area, I found myself choosing between two GP practices: The Medical Centre and The Park Surgery. I opted for The Medical Centre, but I'm increasingly questioning the wisdom of that choice. Despite promptly registering and completing all their administrative requirements, including signing up for the hub service medication collection facility, I'm experiencing ongoing frustrations. More than a month has passed, and I'm still unable to access much of my previous medical history online - a task that should have been straightforward. Each time I've been prescribed medication, at least one item has been missing, forcing me to make additional trips into Driffield to collect the incomplete prescription. The reception staff consistently offer excuses about supply issues. In one particularly irritating instance, a phone conversation suggested a medication substitution, with the staff member claiming the pharmacist would provide double the number of tablets at half the dose. Upon collection, the receptionist made no mention of the missing item, and only my own careful checking revealed the continued absence. Throughout my medical history with previous surgeries, I've never encountered such consistent supply problems, even during the challenging covid pandemic. From my initial patient perspective, this practice appears to be struggling - either overwhelmed staff desperately maintaining a dysfunctional system or following disjointed procedures that fundamentally fail to serve patients effectively. While I sincerely hope future experiences will prove my current assessment incorrect, I'm not optimistic about potential improvements.
