Misdiagnosis led to serious health complications

I would strongly advise against using this surgery. If possible, I would have given no stars. A clinician diagnosed arthritis in my foot based on X-rays that were supposedly taken. This came as a complete shock to me as I had no recollection of having any X-rays performed. My foot presented with significant discoloration, appearing dark red and dark purple, with two of my toes appearing almost black. However, the examination conducted was brief and only resulted in the observation that I had good circulation in my foot, with a recommendation to increase my medication dosage. Later that same day, the pain became unbearable and I attended A&E. I was subsequently referred to another health centre. Neither facility examined my foot to provide reassurance, and both advised me to return to my doctor. Feeling this was not a suitable course of action, I decided to register with a different practice. When my new clinician examined my foot, she immediately provided a referral letter to A&E. I was admitted to hospital for three days where a blood clot in my leg was identified. The clinician explained that without prompt treatment, I risked losing one or two toes. The initial diagnosis and approach could potentially have resulted in serious complications requiring amputation.
