Missed Infection on a Rough Friday

Booked an appointment with Dr Khuroo's practice for my daughter on Friday, Nov 17th, seeing Dr Malik due to ongoing vomiting and persistent fever, leaving her extremely unwell. Dr. Malik's assessment was dismissive, simply attributing her condition to a "viral infection" and suggesting honey and lemon, claiming she was fine and could return to school. That evening, her symptoms dramatically worsened - continuous vomiting and a fever resistant to paracetamol and ibuprofen. Using home urine test strips, I discovered high leukocyte levels. The following day at a walk-in centre, she was prescribed antibiotics, with the attending physician expressing shock that Dr. Malik hadn't conducted a urine test. I am deeply frustrated that medical professionals sometimes overlook parental concerns and fail to conduct thorough examinations. Such medical negligence is completely unacceptable and potentially dangerous.
