Missed Midwife Appointment Because of Bus Delay

My partner was scheduled for her final midwifery consultation today on 04.10.2022 at 8:30, with the intention of informing them about her departure from the country. Unfortunately, we arrived 7 minutes behind schedule due to a bus cancellation, and the receptionist's response was abrupt: "You're late" and "no appointment". She could have made an effort to contact the midwife and inquire whether we could still be seen, especially since her next patient wasn't until 9:00. We were left feeling completely unwelcome. The staff should receive better training in customer service and refrain from making unilateral decisions on behalf of qualified medical professionals. I'm truly disappointed. While I recognize it's part of her job, I hope she can demonstrate more courtesy in future interactions.
