Mixed experiences at High Pastures surgery

After a series of disappointments, I finally had the opportunity to consult with a Physician Assistant in May. Although not a doctor, this PA proved to be an exceptional alternative. He meticulously identified my various health issues and promptly initiated treatment plans. His enthusiasm was truly commendable, and I deeply appreciated his efforts. However, a referral to Ormskirk Hospital's cardiology unit was made without my input. I had previously experienced excellent care for my cardiac concerns at Liverpool Heart and Chest in Broadgreen, but once the referral was processed, it couldn't be altered. Six months have elapsed, and Ormskirk remains unresponsive regarding the status of my referral. Meanwhile, my heart condition has significantly deteriorated. I've attempted to address this issue with the surgery, but to no avail thus far. High Pastures was once an exemplary surgery, but the quality of care has regrettably declined as new doctors have replaced the old guard. The impact of COVID-19 has further exacerbated these issues. I'm grateful that Dr. Clarkson is still practicing; otherwise, the situation could be even more dire. A glimmer of hope has emerged with the appointment of a new office manager. Ms. Jago has accomplished what her predecessor deemed impossible - securing me an appointment at Liverpool Heart and Chest. This act has earned my profound gratitude, and I've adjusted my rating to 4 stars in recognition of her efforts. Perhaps this signals a return to the surgery's former glory, though that may be wishful thinking.
