Morning registration frustration at birdhurst

My wife called Birdhurst Medical Practice and was assured over the phone that we could both register with her passport, as she works in the city and finding time to come in would be challenging due to her early work hours. Upon arrival this morning, the receptionist insisted my wife must personally verify her identity. What a pointless waste of time! The receptionist then complained about being overwhelmed with work and couldn't process our registration until next week - hardly acceptable standards for a medical practice. She made this statement before I even explained our purpose for registering. After sharing our registration intent, she arbitrarily declared our medical need as non-urgent. First, she lacked complete information to make such a determination, and second, as a receptionist, she has no business making medical judgments that could potentially endanger patients' health. We will be taking our business elsewhere. This review serves to warn other potential patients about the substandard service and unhelpful staff at this surgery, suggesting they might find better care at alternative practices.
