Negligent care leads to near-fatal heart event

I recently had a distressing experience with my mother's healthcare. She underwent a 24-hour heart monitor test, which detected an extra heartbeat. Despite our family's history of cardiac issues, the medical team failed to refer her to a specialist. This oversight led to a catastrophic event - my mother suffered a cardiac arrest. It's infuriating to think that this could have been prevented if they had taken proper action. The ordeal didn't end there. During her recovery, my mother faced unnecessary hurdles when trying to obtain a dosette box for her numerous medications. The pharmacist at the GP's office bombarded her with 20 questions, questioning her need for the box. They erroneously claimed their pharmacy didn't provide such services and even suggested they weren't beneficial. Upon my intervention and a direct call to the pharmacy, I discovered they indeed offer dosette boxes. This misinformation caused undue stress during an already challenging time. It's crucial that healthcare providers update their information and improve communication. Patients in recovery shouldn't have to navigate through conflicting information or fight for necessary medical aids. This experience has severely shaken our trust in the system that's meant to care for us.
