Negligent doctor led to tragic loss of my mother

I have zero words to adequately express my frustration with this medical center. My mother saw Dr. Northfield, a general practitioner who continues to practice here, and her experience was devastating. Twenty years ago, she sought help for severe back pain and significant weight loss, and his response was dismissive - claiming she simply wasn't eating and had poor appetite. He ignored her symptoms for months, conducting no diagnostic tests whatsoever. Dissatisfied with his negligence, my mother eventually went to the hospital, where a nurse immediately recognized something was seriously wrong - something Dr. Northfield had repeatedly missed. The nurse quickly referred her to a specialist who discovered she had a rare blood cancer, but tragically, it had already progressed too far. She managed only one chemotherapy treatment, which only caused her hair to fall out and made her ill before she passed away. Had Dr. Northfield identified her condition earlier, she might still be alive today. The thought of this fills me with profound sorrow and anger. I am appalled that he continues practicing as a GP, and I implore everyone: avoid this doctor and this practice at all costs. His medical incompetence is absolutely shocking.
